Tatras have good payload and world class mobility, but if you look at its competitors, say Russian, they might lack in onboard payload but they all tow, making up if not surpassing the difference. Look at the Kolos. It's onboard payload is mediocre at 8 tons, but it is its towing capability that made it such a military success. In the US, the PLS might not be as mobile, but it's just as durable and carries more.

The only reason Tatra is having a bad time is it is run by an American (Capt Ron) who has no idea what he's doing and a bunch of Indians who are taking EU money. There are plenty of good markets for these products, it just needs someone with a bit of lateral thinking to drive the whole thing.
●Can the 6x6 or 8x8 take a trailer? Do they make any competitive tractor-trailers? (Tatra is having it bad these days. How many civilian trucks need an off roader, how many need a tractor? Market seems to be limited at the end of the day.)

●@imagod00d powersteering is mechanic steering with hydraulic (or electric,...) support... every hydraulic system has protection against overload. so basically the only thing you can break is steering rods or other mechanical components... in case you got enough steam in your arms. these parts are all made for extreme situations and usually dont break. ;)
