●I'm going in for my first surgery orientation on june 7th and i'm battling between wanting gastric bypass and the lapband. I want the bypass because you lose more weight, faster... but i know the band is safer and probably more manageable for me... i don't want to just eat a spoon or two of food for the rest of my life. i'd like to learn to manage what i eat, and eat substantially smaller amounts compared to now.... why did you choose the band instead of gastric?
