●not clarks fault at all in season 8 they were going to be together but lana put on a supersuit so to speak (attaches to skin somehow) meant to be used by lex to kill clark however the downside of the suit for lana is that it absorbed kryptonite and lana absorbed a fatal amount for clark so she had to leave or he would die thus they could never be together again unless he has blue kryptonite or loses his powers again
