He chose to put it in a lightweight, agile British chassis because he knew it would produce a car with better performance. A 1000bhp Hennessey Venom GT will be quicker than a 1000bhp Hennessey Corvette, and it's not the engine that makes the difference.

Without that you can just put the massive engine in a Audi A3 and your argument would still be valid. This car would be just as much fun with a BMW M5 engine for instance, but just a bit slower. It's a combo of British and American engineering. Not everything just is or isn't.
