I can't decide what I want to do with the fairings. OEM is *very* pricey. and after market will not match my tank. Besides, my tank has a dent. Thinking about a vinyl tank wrap and after market fairing kit..just can't decide. Just slow to pull the trigger on the expense and a wrap is tricky to apply.

●Correct. I never cross the DY. My camera gives this illusion because it's mounted on the helmet and it is a standard 35mm lens, not the typical fish-eye. So I look like I'm 10' forward. When I look into a turn beforehand then lean off the bike, I appear to turn in early and cross the line. I have in fact purchased a GoPro and have mounted it exactly where you suggest. This will supplement my current helmet cam. I have footage of an Ortega ride from last weekend which I'll post soon. Sub please.

●Well, you have it partly correct. Yes, I am a noob. And yes, I grabbed the front brake and locked it right as I was going into my lean, but my speed was not excessive. In fact I was moving slower than normal due to that dog walker so close to the road causing me to brake a little more during the approach -- and that was the impetus for the mistake. A combo of this and other distractions caused a loss of focus and I literally forgot my hand was on the brake then squeezed as I went into the lean.

I've been riding Ortega lately. BTW, it was the second dog walker within a single turn who screwed up my line going into that fateful turn. But I don't blame him for my mistake.

You are correct that I tend to turn in too soon, but the helmet cam makes it look worse then it is because I turn my head before I turn the bike and the camera also gives the impression of being 10 feet or more forward. Also I don't run wide or go over the DY -- that is an optical illusion resulting from said effects. Thanks for the constructive feedback and I will check out your vids.

I drove for 3 years before I decided to ride. I would never start on a 600 performance bike. EVER. Get and economy car. Trust me.

Poor riding skills. Lucky guy. Supposedly rode his Triumph Triple home. Video credit to rnickeymouse.
●u can always enter a corner too slow.. but u can never enter it too fast without going off the track
●1. Not enough counter steer to create a good lean into the corner. 2. Locked up front tires, and when this happens--especially in a corner--you lose total control. 3. Use mostly the back breaks, light on the front, don't panic, and try to pull off the corner, or as much of it as possible. At the very least, it buys you time to slow down and mitigate how bad a possible crash will be. This wont do much at high speeds, however--you're just screwed.
●Why you steal videos from rnickeymouse ?
●Novice mistake, locked brake and not having the experience to get off it and turn right (to move the contact patch to the right and the bike to 'fall' left) to go left. To be fair, I've seen experienced car racers do the same thing, panic, lock up and proceed directly to the accident site when they could have released the brake and driven round.
●Has no clue how to use the front brake - or to just throw it into the corner. I am actually amazed the number of deaths and injuries on the roads are as low as they are. Most have no business on a bike.
●The bike goes where you are looking yea it sux that some one got this on video but at one point we all did some thing stupid on a bike
●i wonder if he knows he can lean to prevent looking like a dumbass
●Watching the few moments before he crashed it appears that the rider was on a bike for the very first time (day) in his life. If he had been riding before this crash it looks like the only experience he had was riding the bike in a straight line only. You will not see even the slightest preparation for entering this turn. This is a very interesting video. And I mean no disrespect to the rider. In fact I do not know how he had the courage to attempt this. Dan
