●@Ashleymjy Just because a snake can dislocate its jaw to eat large prey, there is a limit. I think that snake must have been used to smaller hamsters and was a little wary of that one. That hamster can do some serious damage to the snake and vice versa, and doesn't want to even attempt eating it incase it gets hurt. The hamster doesn't appear to be scared of the snake so the snake doesn't know what to do.

●We had a albino corn snake, I would let her curl up and ride in my ponytail for hours and hours...manytimes I would forget she was in my hair cuz she was so peaceful. One day I was walking in the food store and could not figure out why I was getting such weird looks...till a little boy pointed and yelled "Mom look she has a snake in her hair!" I just looked around and kept walking....and got the heck out as fast as I could. Rosie our snake was one of mine and my sons favorite pets!

When the boa grew up, my dad built a wood-barn for him. We fed him on chicken heads. Sometimes we trapped a rat, we gave him the rat -- and it was so funny. Because he ate chicken heads most of times, it was hard for him to beat the rat. He lost his reflex. ^^
