●it was a for the best. there's just no room for two universes to co-exist in. it's a jumbled mess.
●DC has the Gods-and-Clods issue where you either have the guys with godlike power (Superman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, Flash, Zatanna) and dudes and chicks in costumes (Batman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Catwoman). You didn't have the good, brawling midrange, limited powers until later when readers started bailing for Marvel. Teen Titans would be a good example of characters with Marvel-type powers in the DC Universe.
●I did just check the Marvel and DC wikis and it looks like Pietro's been sped up to faster than the speed of sound (770 mph) but Flash is still capably of light speed or faster (roughly 670 million mph... a million times faster). Funny thing is - according to Marvel wiki: Pietro can now vibrate through solids like Flash does. Holy plagarism Batman! Anyway, totally different scales - I like Marvel lower scale better, I think it makes for better stories, but just my opinion.
●I saw that, thank you. I also saw Wolverine beating Lobo who has Superman level strength and invulnerability and that was equally silly. Again, I like Wolverine and Quicksilver but the power level difference would be like a guy with a magnum fighting an M1 Abrams tank. Just ridiculous. My opinion is that Marvel and DC should just stay in their own universes and we'll just accept and enjoy the scale difference. :)
