●I never used to like opera, in fact I couldn't stand it. Paul changed that now I watch him when I want to hear some fantastic music. People like Paul who want to follow their dream unfortunately have to do it the hard way, like he did. But he got the break he needed and went on BGT. Now just listen to him sing with Natasha Marsh. They are fabulous together. I love then music from the 50s and 60s but this is so refreshing.
●People tend to criticize him because he'd sung in an opera and had a masterclass with Luciano Pavarotti before auditioning, but they don't know the fact. He paid a ridiculous amount of money to study that one time with Pavarotti and he paid to be in the opera. It's like being in an amateur musical production. You have to pay to be in it, you don't get paid. It was his hobby and he made a career out of it.
