●OR, make sure have a small sharp handy knife in your pocket so when you are being dragged down by a big fish you can easily cut your fishing line and still holding your expensive gear and swim up fast...
●Scenes like is considered one of the dangers when fishing on a Kayak. Im not against it and i know its fun and its a great way to catch fish, but just make sure you know what to do when you hook a fish that you cannot control or fight, no matter how expensive your fishing rod and reel is, whether its a 1,300 dollar rod and reel set you have when you are being dragged down fast at the bottom of the sea by a big fish specially those yellow and blue fin Tunas, you just have to let go of your gear.
●He should be thankful the fish only dragged him 11 miles while still on his Kayak, but i think its not a 300 lb. Marlin more like 250 lbs. If, he caught a much heavier fish like a 400 lb. yellow fin Tuna, his whole life would flash before his eyes because his Kayak will capsize and if he chooses not to let go of his fishing rod while the Tuna is dragging him down towards the bottom and realizes its time to let go and swim up to breath, he better swim up fast because if not, he'll drown easily.
