●that was the official answer lol?? a beaker.... *facepalm* YET AGAIN another mystery introduce with a pathetically convenient answer. "maybe you looked into it too much" yeah except i didn't and the whole show was based around it's mysteries, we were supposed to scrutinise all the little things. guess what the black smoke was, nothing. guess what the jars in jacobs cabin were, nothing. guess what that mark on juliets necks was, nothing. guess what those hieroglyphs meant, nothing. fuck lost.
●The "thing" falling off the shelf is a beaker. For some reason on this particular video the glass breaking sfx cannot be heard.
●Actually, in the original footage(on the disk), after the "mysterious thing" falls off the shelf, there is a glass break noise. I have also noticed when comparing the two clips that other sound effects have been removed. I have concluded the "thing" to be a beaker, and as a close up of the rabbit reveals, there are other beakers arranged on the shelf as well. So the rabbit spawned and basically nocked a beaker off the shelf breaking it, hence the "What the hell!?"
●i remember when this clip originally came out, every one and i mean everyone was asking the same question. what the f*ck was that strange lightbulb thing. if i would have known back then the answer would have been "it's nothing it's just a plot device to keep people wondering but the actual answer won't mean anyhting" i never would have cared. 70% of lost's mysteries have ended like that in my book, especially the swan countdown timer. (jars and that picture in jacobs cabin are an example too)
