I ride this same bike, on the same kinds of roads, as this fellow. This is my worst fear when riding, even more so than hitting a car at an intersection. This guy could have been seriously injured and

Had he leaned the bike over one way or the other and hit it anyways, he'd have likely laid it down causing 10x more damage to the bike and injuring himself.
