The M18A1 Claymore is a directional anti-personnel mine used by the US military. It was named after the large Scottish sword by its inventor, Norman A. MacLeod. The Claymore fires shrapnel, in the for
●I want to set one of these of in a china shop
●"Play More With Claymore" !! Like if you got the gag.
●These fuckers are loud when they go off...in real life, that is.
●8 people put the front towards friendlies.
●Set up many Claymores while on patrol on the Korea DMZ. Common to place a sandbag over ignitor when checking. While uncommon, it was possible for the fuse to fire during testing. I'll never forget the ass chewing I got one afternoon before a night ambush when I was checking out a Claymore. I casually dropped a sandbag onto the fuse instead of placing it gently on top of the fuse and my Squadleader had a shit fit. When you handle explosives regularly, it's easy to get complacent. =)
●In cod it looks like it it musts blows up and there's no bullets in it bouncing Betty yeah boii mw3
●crazy
●Cod didn't brought me here, I was searching g for WWII German equipment and this was on related vids
●What documentary is that from?
●In Vietnam VC or NVA captured claymores and strung them up in the trees arround clearings where choppers could land to spray the choppers and the troops all arround them with shrapnel.
●i bet you came to learn about REAL claymores because you descovered its existence from playen COD
●my friend is such a cod fag he acually though claymores had red lasers on them
●Keyword: "Theoretically"... I wonder how many friendly fire incidents happen in which a claymore is aimed too close to a wall or obstacle and a few of the 700 steel (not soft lead) balls richochet back in the direction of the operator?
●I really like the backronym that they came up with for this system, not only is it a Scottish sword, but an insulting boast towards anyone who uses it incorrectly and anyone who triggers it.
●Weird, because when I Googled "claymore" the first couple videos I got were of some cartoon called claymore, when I typed in "Anti-Personel[sic] Claymore" this video was the first one that showed up.
●I came here cuz of call of duty
●I need to buy a claymore and plant it on justin bieber's doorstep
●So it won't just blow away your feet with the shrapnel?
●I did not come here because of Call of Duty.
●the real effects of a claymore are NOT depicted properly in COD... lol
●in other words, 7 people can't freaking read English... LOL
●because people only watch the popular weapons.
●directional,but i stillwudent want tobe behind itO.o
●dont read it l0l?
●i got here to see the real effects of a claymore thanks to COD.thumbs up if you did the same

airsoft claymore fire test
●not if you're a sniper, put two of these behind you with tripwires and nobody will be able to sneak up on you.
●He is thinking of the bouncing betty^^
●There is a pin that if pulled will set the mine off, you could tie line to that pin and make a trip wire or just yank on it to set it off manually
●You said just tie fishing line to it so you can have it as long as you want. Why would you need that. Tie it to what.I'm confused. Please reply with where to tie it to and how it can make it longer.
●bouncing bettys?
●...no they diddnt cause they are U.S made and where made after WW2....
●@jpWW2fighter42 didnt the Nazis use them too?
●That is cool!
●Waste of money
●Make sure you push the little latch down that is behind the safety, push it fairly hard it should click down a little. it should Look Like a small flat plate with a hooked part on the front, this latches on to the front cover and it pushed up from underneath, the safety sits in a slot towards the top / back. It takes a some getting used to but
●okay. when i pull the saftey off the thing just goes off right there. i cant get it to stay shut. can anyone help?
●remote control :P
●To long
●i got the same thing from a store in the st. louis metro station mall but i lost the pin to mine so in need a new pin
●is it remote controled or do u just pull the pin?
●were is that... the bushes look tropical
●what is the radius for the remote detonator?
●wow that has got to hurt
●wtf where do i get one...
●you just tie some fishing line to it then have it as long as you want
●whats the length of the wire??
●There really isnt an fps, its what is called a killzone which is about 40 meters
●wont really hurt, but will definatly scare the shit out of you if your not paying attention.

Made of a high density injection molded polypropylene plastic (think fishing tackle box) and nearly 100% accurately resembles the real M18a1 mine. Video supplied by Paul, (ClassicAirsoftGuns) www.arni
●do you think this gas claymore has the power to break paintballs if you put them in there?
●Hahahaaa nice but An tu si ... One Two Three xD
●cool; i love claymores
●Yes.. 6mm BALL BEARINGS would weigh more because they are solid. But we are NOT talking about ball bearings. We are talking about aluminum BB's, which are hollow.
●bullshit, aluminum ball bearings (6mm) weights 0.88gram
●won too fee wow one two fucken gay
●i wonder if you can use your hand to force it to close, that way your enemy cant kill you with the claymore, lol
●have fun picking up those bbs lol
●I use aluminum BB's (0.3g) in my Maruzen M1100 shotgun. I love 'em :)
●AJSawyer trust me brah they dont kill, we wear lots of pretection were not rednecks. and yah it could kill..if u shot someone in the neck with a high powered gun, but we use cheaper ones cuz were poop :D
●thats why you use plastic ones
●What an idiot "metal bbs" lol. I doubt you do, but if you do, I hope it kills you.
●fuckin deadly deffinatly buying one of those mabey 2 if there re-useable, we play with metal bbs tho mabey it be to rank

M18A1 claymore mines fitted with a Henry Krank trip mine, with a 9mm Dynex blank adaptor.
●I'd gladly take your advice, but I'd rather have you wear a face mask and neck guard in the middle of a savanna in plain summer for three days so that I can see how that works. Wearing "proper" masks and neckguards is solving a problem that is not there. It only gives assholes a reason to behave like assholes because it gives a sense of security. Facemasks are a pain and so are neckguards, and they aren't necessary at all if people follow the law, like they should.
●Wear a proper face mask and neck guard. Problem solved, mate. Cheers!
●How much are those and were can i buy it
●The Sentry Mine that shoots a .22 caliber blank is MUCH COOLER!
●learn to speak
●First of i wasn't talking to you about the online thing or the age thing MATE. secondly others won those prizes. So congrats on the prize. The gift is a book on common sense and history. Goodbye BOYO
●Sorry, yes missed that one, if I'm awarded dumbass for 2011, where are the accolades for the years 2009 and 2010. I demand answers and trophies
●Seeing as I'm 42 and the old dear is 81 I think she won't really care about it. I'll ask her seeing as you've made a point of asking if she knows I'm online. For your information sir, if you look above and see where the upload date is and you press "show more", you'll see in the description it's a 9mm BLANK ADAPTOR. It was added to the claymore for a bit of effect in game. Shown for demonstration so I think we'll all be brave little soldiers and let that one slip shall we.
●dumbass. Seriously. Do youre parents know youre online? Why the fuck would tthey put 9mm on a airsoft claymore? God, you sir, win the prize for biggest dumbass of 2011. This is a spring loaded thingy. No gas. The way the claymores fell back wasnt supposed to happen. There supposed firmly planted on the floor or grass. You dont want 150 bbs falling on you. Secondly claymores do not have a stupid shiny red laser sticking out (sorry COD addicts). That is all
●"cod kinda ruined the X" is a pathetic comment. Come on, it had NO effect on the weapon itself. Same thing with the Kriss.
●It only fires blanks, that's true. Law specifies our replicas can't go over 1,3j unlike in the US. People said "Oh, but you know, when I'm sniping I only shoot at people beyond X meters, so I don't follow that law". What happened? People got "sniped" and ended up having to squeeze BBs from their faces. One guy almost died because his neck was swelling. We don't use homemade smoke bombs because of fires. I trust my equipment. I don't know you, I don't trust yours.
●they only fire blanks and even if you where in game, you wouldn't put your face in front of an un modded claymore. That is unless your punaboy12
●I can't remember where, probably ordered from an online store in Hong Kong, approx £50. Just do a search on google and it should give you some idea. The alarm mines are from a supplier in the uk but you might be able to get some on ebay.
●where did you get these and for how much
●Cod kinda ruined the claymore... :|
●@punaboy12 you ass, haven't you ever heard of blanks?
●@flyboi23445 Then how do they really work?
●I'm sorry but he is right. I would refuse to play with those things in-game. If you used it just for show in a demonstration I would have no problem but that thing, no matter how safe, would lead me into asking the organization to remove them from the game. If they said it was OK, I'd leave. And no, nobody thinks you can own and detonate real claymores in UK.
●@HowToRig Many pieces of military hardware have the same name as long as they have different purposes. The M1A1 is also a main battle tank. Go figure.
●they make ones with laser trip wires
●@manfromupton is that really ur come back you newb?
●tbh they're a pain in the arse to set up. Unless you have loads of time to set one up before a game I really wouldn't bother.
●It worries me that people viewing this video actually think that people in the UK can own and detonate REAL claymores. Why on earth would I want to attach a 9mm blank firing mechanism to a real claymore? All relevant answers to puntaboy12
●which part? The plastic airsoft claymores or the plastic 6mm BB's.
● Do your parents know your on the internet?

The ACH-47A was originally known as the Armed/Armored CH-47A (or A/ACH-47A). It was officially designated ACH-47A by US Army—Attack Cargo Helicopter—and unofficially "Guns A Go-Go"). Four CH-47A helic
●was this an ill-advised attempt to beef up the 47 like a B-17? Would it have been too slow of a target and to bring its firepower to bear? Was this really not a step up from the UH-1Cs and not a good enough alternative to the AH-1Gs?
●132mph? That's it?!? Mod a Ch-47F like this and you'd probably get WAY better performance.
●In 1967, about 0900, I, an Army DOD civilian, and a Boeing rep, were airlifted into an area in Bong Son to determine the cause of a Go Go that went down during a fire fight around 0600 hours. A LRP (long range patrol) reported seeing something floating off of the aircraft during a straffing run. Along the flight path I found a piece of a rotor blade pocket. The up stop on the 20 mm broke and he shot himself down. I personally retrieved the IDs of all 8 on board. Its still a bad memory.
●Picture #2 is 90 minutes later. 8 men are walking away from the airport, now smoking, but secured. Exhausted, filthy, bleeding, & out of ammo, yet you see none of the fright in the earlier picture, nor the youngness. We matured years in that 90 minutes. An AC-130 (Puff the Magic Dragon) had appeared overhead the very minute we needed it most, giving the guys who wanted to kill us something else to worry about while we did what we came there to do. I know how they felt .... extremely grateful.
●I can tell you precisely how they felt. I've 2 pictures of action in Panama during Just Cause on my desk. The first shows 8 frightened young guys crouched behind a 24" concrete dividing wall. House behind them has dozens of bullet marks & countless shell casings at their feet. The target, Punta Patilla Airport's tower, is in the background, unreachable because of 2 snipers & a well protected Mini-Gun, which had found 3 of the soldiers, including the Platoon Sergeant, being myself.
●Just visited Easy Money today on Redstone she is still gorgeous. Can only imagine how it felt for the troops to see her coming to help and how she scared the .... out of the enemy when she started making a run.
●outdated, that thing wouldn't last 5 mins in a modern fight
●Fascinating!!
●Was kinda neat seeing this. Back in the day, we took it as an article of faith, the 47 would fall apart from the vibrations of multiple 50s firing. 67-18537, 1970.
●Lol, the interior is like the B-17 all over again.
●So, this was where George Lucas got his idea for the Millennium Falcon: originally a cargo ship, but it can go really, really fast, and is loaded with a few surprise weapons.
●My dad was a mechanice for Easy Money in Vietnam. Impressive to see video.
●From inside, it kinda looks like a B-17 with all the gunners and their .50 Cal's
●das uh real gunship
●A little more info on the Go-Go's armaments. All the ones I saw were armed with 5 - 50 cal. machine guns, 2 - 20mm cannons, 2 - 19 round 2.75" rocket pods, and a 40mm belt fed grenade launcher. They were flying arsenals, but also bullet magnets. I believe only one of their aircraft survived the VN war, the rest being lost to gunfire and accidents. The surviving aircraft, "Easy Money", I believe is on static display in Ala.
●Thanks for the "Welcome Homes". I appreciate them. Check out a VN book about flying slicks, titled "Rotors", by Roger Gallagher. I flew slicks with him in B/227th AHB. It's very good read and a true representation of what life was like for a slick pilot in VN.
●Thank you for your service and WELCOME HOME. From the proud son of a US Army Aviator that flew a tour in Vietnam as a 'Slick' pilot.
●I showed my father this video and he said they always called it "Puff the Magic Dragon"
●With the C-130 converted to a gunship role in the Spectre/Spooky, this does seem like a great idea. A massive armament on a massive helicopter. Employed properly, it wouldn`t have to worry much about ground fire but the options for armament, even back in the 60`s were and are very broad.
●I remember seeing a picture of a guntruck named "The Abortion"
●thanks for your service
●They should have added the Automatic Grenade Launchers, weight I know was a factor.
●I saw these in action when I flew for the 1st Cav. They were awesome! Sadly, I was also an eyewitness to the "Co$t of Living" accident on 5/5/67. One of the best nicknames I ever saw on an aircraft was a Guns a Go-Go ship named "Birth Control". I have a picture of it on my desk. It still cracks me up. :-)
●The Army would have kept this aircraft for sure if it carried 5 miniguns and a howitzer in the rear, intsead of the 5 50 cals.
●Great vid, thnx mate!

Me + Iraq + Washing Machine / M18A1 Claymore = Boom
●I remember these mines well,? they really put a hurt on anything that was within 30-45 yds out.? we use to string a set of 3 these around the base perimeter.? & who ever was on LP duty had the clickers to set them off.?
●You must be slightly retarded.
●observing cause and effect: PRICE = Priceless Now these soldier could asume that this m18a1 could only be used for anti personel reasons but like all good americans they learned that it can be used for so many more things. They in one second seperated all the components for recycling. They learned that if they don't have C4 blocks they have a gauge of what a claymore can destroy. TM and FM are not LAW they are guides, fm 7-8 is not law just a starting point to develop yourself and your team
●Street Artillery Are you jealous or something. DAMN man go join the army and get the fuck off youtube Mr. Know It ALL O_o
●true
●Good training is exactly what your taxes pay for. Thanks!
●this is what my taxes pay for
●man ur stupid
●your a douch bag. BIG TIME
●I'm sorry you're so stupid and have no understanding of how training works. Maybe you have a better idea? Like using pretend explosives where instead of a real boom, a flag pops out that says "boom" accompanied by maybe a loud snap of some kind? Besides, who do you think manufactures most of this shit? American factories. So this money goes back into the economy. And quit trying to be the hall monitor with that "who's your NCO?" What the fuck do you think you're gonna do?
●so taliban disguised as a washing machine?. what ever will they think of next?.
●That was a great response. I'm not sure I would have been as dipolmatic as you were with streetartillery. I "am" sure some money conscious anti-war types out there would just love for you to have to employ your weapons for the first time when you get down range. You guys hang tough.
●i find it astonishing that such a little box can make such a big BOOM!!!! very good video, and all you troops have my respect (: @StreetArtillery its not like all the military does is play with explosives all day long, its really pathetic how retards like you can find something negative out of just about ANYTHING so please, shut up
●did you use sonic boom perk?
●@StreetArtllery for that weapon after seeing what it did to that washing machine, just the same way respected the AT-4 after seeing it fired on the range and the M203 40mm Grenade Launcher. If soldiers don't have that respect for the weapons that we use then someone can get hurt, plus you "train like you play and play like you trian" nice video odiedog52!
●@StreetArtllery If the use of one M18A1 Claymore on a washing machine while at the range upsets you I would really hate to have seen what you would have said if you seen our unit at the range...it was nothing for my company to have to dispose of 1,500-2,500 rounds of M855 Ball ammution. The simple fact of things are that we train how to use our weapons and if we have nothing to shoot at or blow up then our training isn't as effective. I am sure that everyone there had a whole new respect
●COD fanboys go: "How it explode?? no one even walked infront of it!!11one!!!eleven"
●but no, I will not give you the name of anyone on that range with me or anyone who served with me for matters of PERSEC and the fact that you do not need to know. Even if you did have the names, SECDEF wouldn't care nor would it be a blip on his (or anyone's) radar. We had good, effective training in the employment and detonation of M18A1 Claymore Anti-Personnel Mines.
●Really. A claymore costs around $250. Compared to all the other equipment and weapons we have and use, that is very cheap. As said, we were at a range where we were practicing the fundamentals of employing and detonating claymores, which we did and we had a good time doing it. It's no different than if we were at an AT-4 range or a Javelin range which cost $1480 and $165,000 respectively, shooting at debris like old wash machines or tanks. The training was effective.
●can people stop complaining "this is what our money goes to" shut up, no one cares, the military isn't completely funded by your bank account, and every dollar they get isnt wasted, its used to protect our country, if you don't want protection, go live in fucking russia because we don't need you here
●Really? Tell us then, How much exactly does a claymore cost? If that was within the limits of your instructions and there was a senior NCO, you wouldn´t mind giving us your name and your NCO´s name so that I send that information along with this video to the Secretary of Defense of The United States of America. You wouldn´t mind that, would you?
●Claymores aren't very expensive and this was a training range. Our group was given X amount of claymores and we went over employing and detonating them. The claymore could have been pointed at nothing or we could have had a bit more fun with it and we blew something up that was on the range. We were exactly within the limits of our instructions and there was both a senior NCO and a higher ranking officer at the range with us. Nice try though.
●yeah..wouldn't it be a bitch if they saved their claymores for the right moment, and then the detonator failed? well at least they saved money.
●...So we can't pratice with our weapons? "Here's your M4, boys... These bullets are so expensive that we can't even learn how to shoot the gun! So go out into battle and only use it when you are absolutley sure you can drop a haji in one shot!" Fuck off.
●just fuck off.

My third attempt at a Homemade Airsoft Claymore. Turned out pretty nice. Skip to 5:00 to see this thing in action. This claymore looks similiar to the real steel M18A1 claymore mine that got extensive
●Thats cool stuff!
●not super difficult to make but very well thought out. Good work. Easily the best homemade one I've seen on youtube.
●Very nice man! You can tell you spent a lot of time on that! Probably a significant amount of money too. I would've honored to get taken out by that one on the field!
●I want one!!!

This is my (quick) model of an M18A1 Claymore. it is made out of cardboard. it also has a spring-loaded and clicking remote detonator.
●music fucks up the clip. Put some real music on it.
●Oh man, these commenters play too much call of duty, Claymores use clickers, this sensor crap they keep rapping about is completely impractical in true life. Unlike your video games the claymore sensor wouldn't be able to tell the difference between friendly or foe. -_-'
●@ps3TVMax not true some real claymores have sensors
●in real life you can have remote for claymore in games you cant bcuz there un-realistic
●a clickker is not for a claymore. its for C4
●Jaja Random Song -Dancing With Tha Devil-
●i hate it crappy song
●youre skilled with cardboard, but not explosives.
●if its a remote detoned its called a C4!
●Why are their so many dislikes? I thought it looked pretty good
●pardon my french, But YOUR AN A**HOLE!!
●how do u do dat
●dude mine is so much better it has a lazer on it pvc leg things that are camo and makes a machine gun noise
●@videogamefanatic1234 although i'm not a conspiracy theorist, and dont believe in his theories, the man has the right to theorize. Bush wasn't completely honest with us. there IS proof. he doesnt hate america, he hates the bullshit that goes on here, laws ignored (take, well, wire taps?), etc. and on top of that, the first amendment states we have the right to free speech. so i can say that i Barack Obama is a terrorist. its not true but i can still say it.
●@videogamefanatic1234 Having criticism of one's government isn't hating one's government. I can see alot wrong with the US government, and i don't love this country, but it is the best of what's out there and so i continue to live here. i don't hate america. it's a great place, and although we are in a depression, it's full of opportunity.
●@HAZORD505 YO FUCKTARD CLAYMORES CAN HAVE DETONATORS TOO DOUCHENOZZLE
●I hate this song, it's sad as fuck.
●What's the song?
●you're correct.
●if it dose not explode it is not a claymore
●You my friend, are one dumb sumbitch, learn your facts, then you can troll.
●oh and another thing people can't run in a split second. they don't have the shift key or what ever the hell your system is. so yeah you can't miss the enemy because your claymore should be in front of your bunker. and no it isn't CAMPING it is defending a tactical position you wouldn't put a mine down where you know friendlies walk about. Real world combat is not the fast paced video games u may delude your brain with
●Combat isn't the fast paced video games you play all day. The Claymore is to be put in the front lines and if you have a lost platoon out in the field then they just walked into the trap you put. Its suppose to be in a position in the no mans land, or the field in front of your base in order to know where it is. If you have to put it in a door way then that some major CQC there going on. Yes its happened, and its happened that a small lost unit wondered upon a friendly minefield
●What if a blind group of allied soldiers walked up a hill with your claymores strewn across it.And you felt the need that you where to put a claymore there. Yeah this isn't a fire and forget system. Its a counter measure. Sorry but sometimes language differences don't help when your out in the field. Claymores are set up in a "DEFENSIVE POSITION" that means you don't move. If you have to move then its because the shit hit the fan and that you are being attack by either of your flanks.
