●Hate to disagree with you. It's not a AC-130 or Marine C-130. They are USAF MC-130E Combat Talon 1 out of the Special Operation Command.
●These are not AC-130s they are Marine KC-130 R models. They only shoot this many flares when the jettison switch is toggled, the normal flare cocktail is 5-20 flares.

●The AC-47 Spooky or "Puff the Magic Dragon" was the one used mostly in Vietnam. Yes it was an Ground Assault Aircraft but the AC-47 was the main Ground Support aircraft. Known as Big Brother to the men on the ground. The thing was armed to the teeth with GAU-2 7.62 Miniguns. The AC-130 was deployed into South Vietnam and put down some heavy fire, but my heart goes out to Puff. (I get this because my father was a Staff Sergeant, US Army Rangers 68'-72')

●I was there nothing wrong with what the pilots did. Rockets were wired wrong forward firing rockets were supposed to fire after downward firing rockets . Downward firing rockets fire first to slow decent rate then forward rockets to stop aircraft. Wires were crossed during installation. So when they flipped the switch wrong rockets fired and plane stalled. Also remember this was designed and modified during a two week period. ●The goal of the test was that the C-130 could minimally deliver ONE General Electric J79 engine. The maximum landing during these tests; simulated payload of about NINE General Electric J79 engines. Though I doubt the C-130 as the room for nine engines, however the tests should give you an idea of what useful payload could be delivered and how much this test exceeded its minimum hopes. The test proved that the aircraft could handle a payload about 10 times a useful payload.

●well, you know the C-2 COD aircraft is 40 years old. the question is, is it cheaper to convert an aircraft like the C-27J to adapt it for carrier use? beefing up the structure, landing gear, fitting the tailhook, & Catapult attachment. or will it be more sensable to buy an updated C-2. as the Navy is now taking delivery on updated E-2's it stands to reason that to keep logistics simple the update of the C-2 would make more sense.

The C-130 at the time did not have a tailhook and thus needed as much room as possible. A more dramatic showing of this is in JAG Season 9, Episode 5. Tuchdown.

●well, know, Swedush AF had about 8 of them when I was a kid, one pilot was a neigbour. They did a lot of relief aid flight in Africa at the time. landed everywhere. If there was mountains still possible. He never mensioned rocket assist take off. He did mension low ground pressure / landing "anywhere" , jungle strips is longer than carrier so that is why I asked about load, u can also deliver load with out landing, "simulate" a landing open door push out carts.

●It depends on what you mean by "worst" airline. Worst for what? Safety? Comfort? Reliability? I'm sure there are official records for all airlines regarding safety and reliability. Those are objective, measurable qualities. As for "comfort", that is subjective. But, personally Ryanair is the WORST airline I've flown as far as comfort goes. Their seats don't even recline, for Christ's sake!! Even a bus has seats that recline!!!

●Pure lack of ground training and selection procedure. Some of your men are hesitant. Some of your men have not been adequately inspected by their NCO's. Poor supervision and leadership from above. I blame your bosses, not the gallant young men who train for war.
●Jumping is not play tme with Sally. It's hard work under stessful conditions with very awkward and heavy gear. On my last jump with the 82nd INfantry, I was supposed to get a cherry jump with no equipment. But, nobody had enough time or jumps to jump in a Dragon anti tank weapon, so I had to do it. The origtinal video above is a combination of bad jumps, probably young jumpers, heavy equipment...everybody has a bad jump, it's risky business. Some of the shots are jump school #d helmets

●My dad told me a story about a one of his jumps during training, he was the last one in the row (Which is not particuliarly a comfortable place to be), and the person in front of him was a women, when she got up to the door to jump out she hesitated and froze up for a good 5 seconds or so, and then proceeded to jump head first out the door like a dive into a swimming pool. My dad looked at the jump master and the jump master looked at my dad, he told me they both looked like they saw a ghost.
