●It seems like the spider is just in a trance as the effect this spider recieved is also achievable with a small cheap version. The light does not burn the spider it just irritates the eye sight. blindness will follow. Keep in mind that the fool most likely saw the reaction and tourmented the spider before hand and only then thought of going to fetch his camera. by then the poor spider was de hydrated and well agitated.
