●trying to restore an iphone 4s from 5.1 to 5.0.1 i have error message 1600 and when i follow the tutorial using redsnow and select my ipsw i get an error message from redsnow stating that the ipsw is not supported by redsnow. i have redsnow version 0.9.10b8b. thank you for all of your help.

●I never did jailbrakes on mine, either. I did 4.21. as install from a reset phone, not as an upgrade in iTunes or a restore in iTunes. I had a good experience with this. 4.2.1 was very good for me and better than 3.1.3. Test with fewer apps at first...
●i'm currently using ios 4.2.1. Is it advisable for me to downgrade it to 3.1.3 coz my iphone is running slow. sometimes it takes more than 4 sec to open my sms inbox. p/s: i never jailbreak my device.
●dont you know about jailbreaking? you can only set background once jailbroken (iphone 3g)
