●This film is just the remake of the 1984 "The Karate Kid". If this film was titled The Kung Fu Kid, people would not know this was the remake of the original. So no one would watch it. It would be a box office failure.

In Chinese culture those 'kids' who are that good are brought up with this martial art and their bodies are trained to do this. We have this little boy who turns up in China and given a few weeks turns expert in martial arts? That is not what Kung Fu/Karate is about, it takes months to train to be that good.
