●That little cloud is not evidence of supersonic flight, though it is evidence of high-speed flight. It has more to do with the amount of moisture in the air than on sound waves. Planes flying faster than the speed of sound might not have them, and planes not flying that fast can have them.
●Aircraft are not allowed to break the sound barrier during airshows. I have see this same phenomenon at the Dayton, Ohio airshow. No sonic boom. They aren't allowed to do it.

And the crackling is actually very minor sonic booms as some of the air around the aircraft is moved faster than the speed of sound. The aircraft itself didn't break the sound barrier however. What that was called was a transonic flight.
