●If you stay with the kitlens this review is absolutely great. But I'd like to add that deciding the brand of body you buy might be decicife for lenses in the future. Most people don't easily switch brands due to the "lens library". Overall my opnion is that the Canon is a bit more amateur an the Nikon in this review is a beginners cam (it doesn't it's bad at all). I prefer the low end dslr of Canon over the Nikons, Nikon imho get's interesting from the D90 and up.

●I can tell you from personal experience this Canon 5D is NOT water proof. My 5D (only 2 weeks old) got splashed with water and immediately STOPPED working. I sent it to Canon for repair, their response was it had water damage and was NOT covered by the warranty. They wanted $822 to repair it. Do not let this video fool you. You should NEVER subject your camera to any type of water.
