●I wouldn't include the 90s though. I don't know if you're from the U.S. or U.K. but they were putting out some amazing music then. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, Rage, Sublime, Beck, Collective Soul, Tupac and hip hop in general, and on and on. The 90s were amazing to live through when great music was pouring out the radio every time you turned it on. For me everything started going downhill around 97-98 and has been getting worse every year.

●Yeah I meant most of the 80s bands starting somewhere in the early 80s. I wasn't sure what year exactly digital hit the scene but I knew it was early 80s. So most 80s music consisted of digi synths, which I agree sound like shit. Analogue has a natural warmth that digital can't reproduce. The Beatles scarcely used synths but Zeppelin, Steve Miller, Pink Floyd, Emerson Lake and Palmer all made great use of analogue synths especially Floyd. ●Interesting interview on BBC Radio 2 with Gary recently. GN was oblivious to the fact his early stuff was popular with hip-hop street Dancers, spinning and popping to in the 70's. Gary started as a punk act, but discovered synths by accident. He wasn't a pioneer of electro punk but certainly brought the big electronic sound production into peoples conciences. Synths gave more bang for your buck. It takes skill and effects pedals to do it with guitars, syths sounded supernatural .
