●Different films... Is Blade Runner better than Star Wars? Depends what you're looking for. Not sure about Begins, but Dark Knight is the greatest serious treatment of comicbook villains ever. Still think Avengers is the greatest pure comicbook movie ever. Neither one diminishes the other.

●Bane was never merely a henchman, in the comics he broke Batmans back and left him as a paraplegic, forcing Wayne to hand the Batman role to someone else. Not only that but you failed to support your argument of Anne Hathaway being a poor casting. I don't think this film can match The Dark Knight, but I bet it will be close.
●I loved the first two Nolan Batman movies..however I think this movie will be a disappointment to many. The villain choice is it's first setback, and it's second is casting Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. As a Batman fan, I would rather see the likes of Clayface, Prometheus or a revamped, non-schwarzeneggar Mr. Freeze. Bane to me was always a supporting villain and more of a henchman.. As far as the Avengers argument goes, Batman made it's debut in 1939.. The Avengers in 1963. That speaks for itself.

●Personally, I don't think it's fair to try to match Batman up against the likes of Thor, Iron Man, or the Hulk. They're simply too powerful. A reasonable matchup would be Thor vs. Superman or something. If I had to choose an Avenger that would be a good match against Batman, I'd say Captain America. Hawkeye, maybe, if he kept Batman at range.  I don't think Black Widow, talented as she is, would be able to stand against the Bat, though.

●Reason? This feels real. The Green Lantern and Man of Steel do/will not. You can't mix what Nolan has done here with those high fantasy flicks. It worked for Marvel and The Avengers because that's how they set out to make each of the film franchises feel. They are treading on dangerous ground, however, as the whole other-worldly Thanos thing could take it too far for a general audience, and it would lose some of the magic we first discovered in Iron Man.
●Yes and no. The Avengers was a monumental achievement. The fact that they managed to make the assembled film of each franchise the best of the bunch was remarkable. On top of that, it set an opening weekend that no other movie this year will touch. This Batman series is, without question, the best comic book to film franchise of all-time. It feels real world. The Avengers feels like pure fantasy, as it should. This Batman will never work in a Justice League series, however.
