Without the support of Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, efforts to amend the Iowa Constitution can not move forward in the Senate. Below is the text of Senator Gronstal's response to Senate Minor

In the 1947 Everson V Board of Education, Justice Hugo Black used the metaphor "wall of ..." to base his decision in the case. Black was a member of the KKK and was resentful of the growing influence of catholicism.
