●Upon return from Nam 1970 - met DONNA. We went to Disneyland and the evening dinner theatre (?) where HA boy & girl sang this song as duet. Lordy! that was beautiful & I fell hopelessly in love with Donna. Alas! That was not to be but for 6 months or so. It still was a beautiful moment that I remember to this day. Does anyone else remember the Disneyland dinner theatre and the duet version of this song?

●In the early 70's he was part of a group called the Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau, he didn't go solo till about 1993. This song is from the album Ho'oluana, by the Makaha Sons Of Ni'ihau. Any old CD's or albums that have Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau, are with IZ. When they broke up, IZ went solo, that's what you've been hearing, but before 1993, you need to search for Makaha Son's on Ni'ihau CD's. The other 3 members became the Makaha Sons. So those CD's don't include IZ after 1993.

●People will search for Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, but not sure if all the albums he made with The Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau will come up in their search. They made quite a few albums before IZ went solo. You need to search for Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau, that group includes IZ. When they broke up, IZ went solo, and the others became just the Makaha Sons. ●This is one of my favorite albums of the Makaha Sons Of Ni'ihau. For those searching for IZ, he played in this group which they founded in the early 70's. So if you can find more of the Makaha Son's of Ni'ihau albums, they include IZ. When he went solo, the other 3 became the Makaha Sons. Those albums are without IZ. I can play this CD and put it on replay shuffle, and listen to it for hours. Not one of those CD's that have only one good song on them. Mehameha/White Sandy Beach is my favorite.

●Did you ever get to actually meet him? I would have loved to have met him, or at least see him in concert. I've only found out about him recently, nearly 15 years after he passed away. His music is still spreading around the world.

I still remember people pulled over on the side of the freeway, signs hung from the over passes, all of Waianae waving to the trucks as we passed...how he touched us all. ●I've had an experience too, a few years ago I often dreamed of IZ right before I coincidentaly found a book on hawai'ian guitar and started studying that.. But it wasn't until this year that I found out who the figure in my dreams was. I had a beloved pet 'cross the rainbow bridge' that week I found IZ's Memorial video of Somewhere over the Rainbow. It was like a revelation, that love never dies. I'm now studying the hawai'ian language too. RIP IZ and ku'u PJ u'i.
●"I'll Remember You" is one of my favorites. These guys voices blend in harmonies that are almost heavenly. Iz will be missed. But he left a treasure of excellent melodies for us to enjoy for the rest of our lives.

If you are caught by surprise or miscalculated something, are at the top of a big wave about to break (and obviously can't touch with your feet), I think the best is still try that, though I've never tried it with huge waves!
●I was in hawaii with my sister and dad for vacation, and we went to a beach that had gigantic waves that swept us right off our feet. The waves were actually close to the onezs hsown in this video lol:)
