●Both my bros in the military prefer the M4/M16 and I personally like the M16 and the AK was built for ruggedness and reliability while the M16 was built for lighter weight and for a NATO round and was built for accuracy so they cant be fairly compared. It is like comparing a .22 with a shotgun the shotgun is gonna have more stopping power while the .22 is more accurate and can shoot faster its just personal preference they cant be fairly compared.

The AK does what it was built for with NO competition.

●For my experience Ak is very good close distance assault hit n run , attack convoy , gorilla fighting , that's what I did in Thai n cambodia border 1985 fighting Viet cong in Cambodia , on daily patrol is AR is way to go so u pick 1 that fit ur need

●IMO ar15s are much more ergonomic, far more accurate and have a lot more accessory options for optics etc. I have a piston AR, it hasn't failed once... The gas block at the front of the rifle gets very filthy though. I feel like, with a piston AR, the grime moves from the action, to the gas block. Only concern is carrier tilt, but after your buffer tube gets worn down to a certain point, it appears to not get any worse.
●Well, I went ahead and purchased a DPMS Oracle. Even though it is "entry-level" it was considerably more than a WASR AK. That said, the WASR is just as prone to difficulties out of the box as anything else. I spent a LONG time deciding and researching what would be the best mag-fed battle rifle for me based on the limited $ I had for the purpose. Even with the "reliability issues", the smaller bullets, and everything else, the AR platform seemed superior.

●That wasn't a functions check but that was pretty impressive. Functions check= pull charging handle, attempt to fire on safe (which it should be on), selector switch to 'fire', pull and hold trigger while charging once, release trigger after charging handle rides forward(should hear the metallic click), selector switch to 'safe', and dust cover closed. Unless of course you have burst or auto, but that would be illegal to modify your sear/trigger assembly. ;) Nice video anyways

It's important we teach them and show them gun safety, because they haven't got a clue what guns really do. I'd be so scared if one of my kids picks up a gun right now. But after taking them out and teaching and showing them a few things, I'd be a lot less worried. It's good to teach your kids gun safety, you never know when they may come across one and get curious when you aren't around...

●That wasn't a functions check but that was pretty impressive. Functions check= pull charging handle, attempt to fire on safe (which it should be on), selector switch to 'fire', pull and hold trigger while charging once, release trigger after charging handle rides forward(should hear the metallic click), selector switch to 'safe', and dust cover closed. Unless of course you have burst or auto, but that would be illegal to modify your sear/trigger assembly. ;) Nice video anyways

A shot gun has a relatively big recoil but would not say that an AK 47 does. The barrel can get quiet hot after using for 3 or 4 minutes but other then that its best infantry machine gun ever made.

I have never heard of any infantry Marine complain that their m16 cant get the job done. I know for a fact that when i put done my enemy they didnt get back up and it didnt matter what caliber i used. 2 to the chest and one to the head is a basic drill that all Marines are taught during weapons training. Trust me the 5.56 is sufficent to get the job done

●I unfortunately did not get the opportunity to get my hands on the M27 IAR but that thing looks like its gonna be a beast and from i hear its been picked up by the Martins already. I liked my saw just fine but i gotta say that this weapons system is a combination of two of the greatest weapons ive used with little, if none of the downfalls.

●As i said these guns are generally mounted and actually hold their zero quiet well. I should know this it was my job to use this weapon from 2003 through 2011. Now when moving in patrol we carry a SAW which is a far more maneuverable weapon system.
●But the belt fed magazine is so fucking huge, and its pretty darn heavy to carry. Even five of those is a fucking lot. And with the optic mounted onto the cover, everytime you reload I dont think it will hold zero.
●the M240G works just fine on full auto but it is often mounted and normally the SAW is what we carry in fire teams. With training for recoil management and familiarization with the weapon you can achieve some good results with an unmounted 240 to. like i said it all comes down to personal opinion, my first post i was just drunk and being an ass and you caught me on it lol. also the belt fed mechanism does away with the small mags
●The 7.62x51 surely has more fire power than the 7.62x39 but it also has some disadvantages too. First, the magazines usually hold 20 rounds only. Second, the ammo is fucking heavy when you carry lots of them, which you would so thats another thing to consider. And it kicks like a mule, so you would be restricted to single shots if you wanna hit your target at all.
●from my personal expierence they beat out the AK-47 and 7.62x39 round that has been sent my way. so maybe im biased but i trust my life to my weapons and they get the job done just fine. Oh and before you get all butthurt about some random comment left on youtube maybe you should find out what 0331 means. Thats why i know what im talking about
●honestly i know quiet a bit about the firearm and im well aware that its the 7.62x51 round or as its more commonly referred the .308 but what you have to understand is that the 7.62x51 is superior to the 7.62x39 and, in all honesty the differences between the 5.56 and 7.62x39 are so minute that it is really a personal preference thing. this is why there is such a strong debate on it. If they werent so close there wouldnt be such a strong debate. Personally ill hang on to my m16 and my 240

●But Nutn NY state says that a 30 round mag is a high capacity mag. Seriously were stuck with 10 rounders max unless we hunt up preban mags (oh yeah i got a few lol)

●Uh, the US Army does not use it because they would get embarrassed, they say that the 5.56 is a great cartridge then if suddenly they decided to use the 7.62x39, it would look like they are a fail and liars, also many NATO countries use the 5.56, so if the US decided to use the Russian cartridge, all those countries would have to change which would cost a shit load of money.

●FINALLY SOMEONE WITH A BRAIN!!!!!!!!! Yes i have seen 556 NATO (55GR. FMJ) leave wounds almost big enough to put your head in. And 7.62x39 (123GR. FMJ) exit with out doing ANYTHING!!!!!!!! IF 7.62x39 was good round we would be USING it. 556 NATO is not perfect but it is better than 7.62x39.
●From what I hear an AK can shoot through concrete better than and AR, as the bullet is much bigger, but what does tumble have to do in the situation , do you want the bullet to tumble to give more effect ? dont mean to sound dumb I am just curious.

●.556 has of a chance to stop and enemy but the. 762 could probably go through vests easy but it doesn't ruble so it goes straight through the.556 can go any direction exploding organs for a combat round. 556 wins
●The old 7.62*37 M83 round did not like to tumble. People could take lung shots and easily live.The modern round is made to be more tumble prone.

The standard 5.56 Nato is such a light fast round, it "tumbles" once it hits the target. My army served father and ballistic gel tests prove this text. I've seen tumbled rounds turn and go 90 degrees threw gel.. That's Scarey.. This round literally can shred your internals. Both are great again. But owning both. 5.56>7.62x39

●When you say "alot of Marines" i have to assume that the ones who said that are the POGs who have never been in combat. I have never heard of any infantry Marine complain that their m16 cant get the job done. I know for a fact that when i put done my enemy they didnt get back up and it didnt matter what caliber i used. 2 to the chest and one to the head is a basic drill that all Marines are taught during weapons training. Trust me the 5.56 is sufficent to get the job done
●What do you think about the 5.56/223 cartridge then? A lot of reports from US marines complain that the 5.56 aint doing that job, that when they hit an insurgent they still get back up and start shooting back.
