●@Daywalker231000 I know that none of Zombie's films are going to be given any serious awards, but when you create a character and make them behave in one way, and then you bring them back and completely change everything about them, I have a hard time connecting with the film. The fact that Micheal's mother took a 180 degree turn just aggrivates me...and Zombie did the same thing with Loomis.

The fact that in Zombie's first film, Micheal's mother is this warm, caring individual who becomes so heartbroken by who her son has become that she kills herself, and when we see her again as an entity, she's some ghostly personification of Micheal's evil and drive to kill.

In the modern version there was just a psycho kid taking revenge, it was about making a good slaughter scene, the more the better, as much blood as possible, as gruesome as possible... but... we have to spare the baby child, because... well... it's a taboo to kill babies in a movie.
●In the original movie Michael Meyers was transformed in this very night when he killed his sister. It's pretty ingenious imo, because the audience gets no chance to see him as a human, all humanity is stripped from him and you can only fantasies how he was before oct. 31 198*. Unlike in the remake where the wannabe-Michael Meyers shows his affinity to his baby-sister, even after he butchered his stepfather aso. That's the next point...
●I watched the original Halloween last sunday for the first time in my life. Today the remake. You could call me a noob. Nevertheless... i say R. Zombie pretty much messed up the whole concept. In his (mis)interpretation Michael isn't the soulless, occult, efficiently killing golem filled with the pure essence of a rage demon. He's just a psychopath, not "the evil" haunting Haddonfield. At the point where he kidnaps his sister it is obvious that there is humanity left in him.
●I'm thinking that it would have been more compelling if Michael would have seen visions of his mother trying to make him stop, as opposed to just turning him into Jason Voorhees.
