●Gas vs. diesel is like comparing apples and oranges. Gasoline engines are cheaper and lighter, diesels last longer and with a turbo charger build monsterous low end torque. Gas engines have a much wider power band and I haven't heard of many diesels turning over 7000 RPM the 460 can be built to do that pretty easily. Plus you are comparing a turbo diesel to a naturally aspirated gas engine. The n/a 7.3 numbers aren't nearly as impressive as the powerstroke. The diesel will beat gas on mpg.

●That is one nice Ford. Well first of all about 460 torque. Your going to need over 600 pounds of torque to beat a Diesel... Most gas engines only run 445-580 at best. Find a gas that will put out 800-900 pounds of torque, then call me...Also gas engines can't run past 300K without replacing "HEADS" crank, cam, crank bearings, pistons,piston rings,timing chain etc. Another, they can't pull 15 to 20 K and get 21 highway.. People who knock Diesels, Can't afford them...OWN one before trash talking

If I run my gas engine out of gas, I add more. If I run my diesel out of fuel, I spend half a day getting the lines purged, and hoping I have enough batt. to crank her long enough to start. And enough with the "well my D-max has 800 lb/ft, etc." I can get that out of a gas engine too, just add high compression & twin Turbos.

●Well, First off I dont think you are experienced as you say you are. The old 70s and 80s chevys twisted way wores then the new fords, the 80s chevys and fords were equal in how much they twisted. It seems that frame twist wasnt an issue until just a few years ago. Ford superduty has a c channel frame still, the f150 is boxed, I dont even like f150s that much. And both chevy and dodge use boxed up to their 3500s. Thanks for the vids you sent to, ive seen chevys bent that bad too.

●ford superduty frames 99-07 are about .23 inches thick, and 08 on up are .26 inches thick, I too have personally been around alot of chevy trucks and ford trucks. The chevy frame rail height is about an in taller than the ford frame rails, 8 inch rail all the way through vs fords 7 inch rail, which does narrow to 5.5 over the rear axle. around the chevy trucks i have seen they use thinner frame material. What is the frame material thickness on chevys? 00 and up?
●yeah thats why i have welded at least 8 weak ass ford frames that were broke all the way through and about 12 that have severe cracks that were very close to breaking, the only thing i have ever had to weld on a chevy frame was a brace where the steering box goes because people put 46inch and bigger tires on some of them, hell a 1500 silverado frame is way thicker than a f250 frame, trust me i have been doing this shit for many many years, ford is junk
●Right, fords have weak frames, especially the superduty. Thats why the superduty frame set the benchmark in 1999 to beat, because it was much weaker. Fords frame has been the same concept/shape since the 1960s. All their frames from there on out look very similar. If it aint broke, dont fix it. so why has gm, and doge changed their frame on almost every different body style they go to? If the previous frame was so great they would have kept it.
