Gas engines have a much wider power band and I haven't heard of many diesels turning over 7000 RPM the 460 can be built to do that pretty easily. Plus you are comparing a turbo diesel to a naturally aspirated gas engine. The n/a 7.3 numbers aren't nearly as impressive as the powerstroke. The diesel will beat gas on mpg.

Find a gas that will put out 800-900 pounds of torque, then call me...Also gas engines can't run past 300K without replacing "HEADS" crank, cam, crank bearings, pistons,piston rings,timing chain etc. Another, they can't pull 15 to 20 K and get 21 highway.. People who knock Diesels, Can't afford them...OWN one before trash talking

If I run my gas engine out of gas, I add more. If I run my diesel out of fuel, I spend half a day getting the lines purged, and hoping I have enough batt. to crank her long enough to start. And enough with the "well my D-max has 800 lb/ft, etc." I can get that out of a gas engine too, just add high compression & twin Turbos.

My Chevy vs Ford Superduty

●i dont give a shit if you believe me or not, i am a mechanic for caterpillar on the weekend shift and run my own garage through the week days, i have worked on way more piece of shit butter frame fords than you will ever drive and i have owned a few, but you cant fight with a dumbass ford lover, they will be sitting in a new ford broke down on the side of the road with the window rolled down saying ford is awesome.
