●YouTube is the most successful user upload video site on the internet, that much is obvious. Making another one would only cause them to compete with themselves (that is if they left YouTube up) or cause a massive loss in numbers if they took it down. One 15-30 second ad per video per view causes the people we subscribe to to keep pumping out new stuff for us. I wish I didn't have to watch ads, but I also wish that people would just give me free money. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen that way.
●Google has a massive amount of resources, if they were to cut down the commercials to one every 20 seconds, they would still have enough money to put up entire other YouTube-style services.
●What does that have to do with anything? They still need to make money on their own. YouTube is an Asset meaning they bought it to make money not lose it.
