●in terms of slavery i know exactly what you're talking about and did my own research on it too. But the fact of the matter remains. the actions done by those under the banner of Islam were unislamic. Same thing with terrorists and so on.
●Even in scriptures its considered haram (illegal) to force even POWs into conversion through duress. So rape would hardly stand. And the honour killing thing is a purely a cultural point, one my my unimates is even doing a dissertation on the subject of just how deep cultural trends such as 'izzat' (honour) distort islamic teachings.

The right 2 negotiate marriage terms of her choice. The right 2 obtain divorce from her husband, even on the grounds that she simply can't stand him.
●Its not Islamic treatment of women, in Islam its not supposed to be like how it is in pakistan etc. that you hear about the oppression of women under islam in the media. All that shit happens under cultural idea towards inferiority of women, an idea that the western cannon had up until only recently. ●What are you talking about? Muslims, just like everyone else, enslaved other peoples for centuries. See for example the Mamluks of Egypt, or the Janissaries of the Ottoman Empire. Muslims enslaved and traded in Africans for millennia. As far as no inferior races, try asking that to a Jew. And while we're at it, Islam's treatment of women is not exactly stellar either. Honor killings happen in many Muslim countries, and even in Europe and North America.
