Like backing in tight places, snow espcially in the mountains, city right hand turns. Getting to your destination at night where there is no facilities. All the added regulations that can be easily used against you. I'm considering it now that my son is grown up and in college. Now it is convencing the wife.

I teach programming classes and I stop to make sure the students are with me and explain the importance of certain things so that they will understand that it is something you really need to know.

I believe he did forget to mention the Fifth Wheel and that the shank around the Kingpin needs to secure and release arm needs to be secure. If it is a sliding tandum, make sure the pins are secured and in place. He also didn't inspect the front of the truck to see if it was leaning to one side or look under the truck for leaks. Check damage to landing gear too. We all forget something. Still a good job

●i got my class A today the pre trip is the easiest part the best way to do it is use common sense and everything you can see check it over and make sure its in good condition in correlation with the truck

●depending on the state, for example, i am on Tennessee, we have to check the 5th wheel, if it is a sliding 5th wheel, check to ensure the bolts are intact, none missing or damaged. we have to visually inspect the jaws to ensure they are locked, and to check the 5th wheel release handle and the internal/external safety. we also have to check the inside lights during the cab inspection, the directional signals and bright light and ABS indicator in addition to the light check. good pretrip though.

●I remember driving on two lane highways, truckers would put their left turn signal on to let cars behind them know it was safe to pass. I doubt they can do that now, because someone would probably screw up & crash and sue the truck driver.

●its hard but Oh man is it worth it you get to see the country and make a ton of money I guess the only down side is missing your family sometimes it can get pretty lonely out here

●I have to agree with you. I will be going to crengland as soon as I get out of ny. I went to CDT Commercial Driver Training, in babylon NY and I failed the road test. but I didn't learn how to double clutch or couple and uncouple, or even alley dock. I can't wait to get to CR England! If your in ny avoid CDT its a CDL Mill.
