●I would say that he is generally logically correct, but it's not causation. The more popular you are, the more people who know about you, and therefore you have a higher number of people to potentially like/dislike you. It's not good=lots of people hate you, but popular= lots of people generally hate you, since there's a huge amount of people who know you. Of course, there are people who are disliked who are awesome, and people who are terrible who are liked. It's correlation, not causation.

●I'm guessing that a lot of the dislikes are just to keep youtube from spamming them with people playing the guitar because they viewed this video. Because honestly, even if you don't like this kind of music, that doesn't mean you can't objectively recognize quality and skill.
