●Here's why using 2 strokes for this could be good or bad: Good because it could help you get up the hill faster if you are going to slow IF the ground is not to soft. Bad because you will spin the tire like fuck if the ground is to soft, and you will get absolutely nowhere. Personally, I think using a 4 stroke would be better for getting up this hill.

●not really an issue in multi tail draggers. There is no need for a long nose to house an engine up front and your sitting so far forward in the fuselage!

●the p-47 is a single engine small aircraft, one of the dogfighters of WW2. the c-47 and c-53 are military adaptations of the DC-3

●Good point. As I remember, the throttles were so misaligned on this ferry flight that I had to think of how I'd bring them up. At any rate, they were never firewalled.
●Said "we gotta little crosswind from the right so I'll bring them up evenly, well a little more lead the left"? Was a stiff wind slight from the right (10 degrees off from right, 17-22knots) but in a twin counterintuitively you bring up the right engine first and stay a bit ahead with it until both are firewalled. See the crosswind is pushing on that mammoth vertical stabilizer from the right, pushing the tail left and nose right, needing more power from right engine to stay centerline.
