●The episode they had called the "obsolete man" focused on the idea of people being killed as entertainment on tv (like THG). Also as a way for the state to control the country b/c it was in a state of chaos. I love both THG and BR, I just think you shouldn't say someone ripped another off b/c they have a few similarities. They're both great films.

●One of my favourite movies and books of all time is Battle Royale, I kicked off saying that this was a rip. My friend rightly pointed out I can't have a proper opinion until I have read/seen the Hunger Games and lent me the book. I am yet to see the movie but cant wait to because although I wanted to hate it, the book was fantastic, I'm on the second at the moment. I love both and the differences are what make each great. Neither is better or worse then the other. They are independent.
