●I'm not sure why people introduce new puppies this way. It's not the right way. Puppy should not have run of the house when the cat sees it as theirs. Puppy is stealing the cats toys and the cat will feel displaced. A new puppy should be isolated, then cat will understand that they are the alpha in the house and it can get used to the puppy's smell, then you introduce them slowly. This kind of introduction can cause kitty to act out peeing on things, scratching etc. It can be stressful for them.
