Regardless, at the point traction would become an issue, the tyres took on a point load and pretty much became chocks.

Toyota introduced its new Prado Landcruiser mid-size 4WD as a "best of both worlds" solution for both the highway and the rough stuff. Gizmag had a chance to test the vehicle on all types of terrain -
●Seems quite capable but how will it stand up once it leaves the test track and enters the real world of 100's km's of corrugations, deep water crossing and all those electronics, vegetation ripping things from the undercarriage etc etc. And what do you do when you get bogged, get covered in mud getting out, and then have to get back in to those flash seats and carpets!! Good for a weekend trip but I'd stick with a Cruiser for everyday ruggedness and reliability

The Evoque - is not a real 4x4 - its a soft roader, probably much better on road, but not off road, and the Prado is roomier, has a bigger towing capacity and a HUGE fuel tank with very economical diesel engine. What exactly do you mean by 'junk'??
